Manchester Art Gallery

These three photographs are what I took of some art pieces at Manchester Art Gallery.
These three art pieces are all made out of a variety of paper.

Motorbike photograph: Newspaper, map paper and cardboard is mainly used here, which has been moulded into a 'metallic' look. The effect of it looks as if the pieces of 'metal' have been melted into a solid form.

Black cardboard photograph: Only black coloured paper is used here. The paper has been carved with a knife into what looks like delicate strings. There are a variety of lines going on in this piece of art. It has been made into a 'tangled' effect with the pieces of paper string. The bird silhouettes are clearly visible sat on the trunk of the tree.

Paper forest photograph: Japanese paper has been used here. The light shining on it makes the light and delicate paper look very thin as the shadows are clearly visible. The artist has used a variety of colours to contrast the 'forest' colour.
